More cautious than brave
Ira is 1 year and 5 days old today.
She's used to getting off our mattress on the ground. She would dangle her legs down, which would barely reach the ground, and slowly scoot keeping one hand on the mattress. She would keep scooting until her bottom was off the mattress and she was suspended, putting her weight on her right arm. She would then slowly lower herself down till she met the ground.
Softest landing I've ever seen, not even a sound. Her bottom settles on the floor like a leaf.
Today was different. She dangled her feet on the settee, which is almost as tall as, if not taller than, her, and just... jumped off. That was some impact. It was audible, and I could see her tiny muscles make ripples. I felt it through my arm. I always thought she's more cautious than she's brave.
